Taking a hypnotherapy approach to Weight Management is different from anything you have tried before.
We take a very personal approach with how to tackle it, looking at your relationship with food throughout your life and how you have got to where you are now.
Once we have done the digging work, we also focus on belief work and then move onto the hypnosis to support any discussions and framework we have collaboratively decided on.
There are so many fad diets out there, exercise classes you can go to and restrictions you can place on yourself... however, the hypnotherapy approach strips all of that back to the beginning... a fresh slate and start from day one and move on from there.
Our aim is to make it as simple as possible so that weight management shouldn't feel like a chore or something that is unachievable... its just about finding what is right for you.
The modern world is so fast paced, causing stress on the body, time pressures, deadlines and very little interaction with nature and other grounding activities.
When was the last time you stopped to catch a breath? I think this is why a lot of adults cherish their cup of coffee or tea in the morning, because it is one of the only times in the day they set aside time to mindfully breathe and ruminate on their thoughts.
Anyway, I digress. My point is, it is normal to feel stressed and anxious at points in your life. I should note, a small amount of stress can be useful, in order to drive and create momentum to move forward in life... however, I'm talking about excess stress.

An extreme or irrational fear of something. Living in Jersey, there are certain phobias that can feel more restricting than others such as a fear of flying or a fear of swimming. Whatever your phobia is, we use the most modern techniques out there to kick that phobia to the curb. The methods we use to treat phobias often avoid the need to discuss the actual incident or thing itself, as quite often the fear can be so debilitating that the client cannot face even discussion of it.
Self Esteem is related to how we feel about ourselves; how we look, constantly worrying if people like us?, worrying that we can't live up to someones expectations of us, worrying that we aren't good enough, that we aren't clever enough, or pretty enough. It is about our own self worth and how much emphasis we place on that.
Self Esteem is not only informed by nature (i.e. genetics), but also nurture (i.e. experiences and learning whilst growing up and forming our sense of self).
